Windows Security Setting

This section explains how to disable specific Windows security features, including real-time protection and the firewall, to prevent them from interfering with the installation or operation of the POS application.

Windows Defender

Windows Start > Settings > Update & Security

Windows Security > Open Windows Security

Virus & Threat Protection

Manage Settings

Turn off all options from the section.

Note: Real-time protection may automatically re-enable after a reboot—this is expected and won’t affect the installation once it’s complete.

2. Windows Firewall

Control Panel > System and Security > Windows Defender Firewall > Turn Windows Defender Firewall on or off

 Turn off the Windows Defender Firewall for Private Network
